I think he means, when he is developing an app for the AppStore or Cydia... he wants his app to support multitasking and if it is for the AppStore and you are developing for iOS 4 than it should just be built in (Native) because the iPhone supports it. U may want to check the Dev section articles on the Apple Developer site just to check for code. As for a Cydia application, I believe that you need to add code and I don't really know what it is.

It's not built in u for sure have to insert a bit of code for it to support it
